  • Is It Christmas Yet?

    Posted by Vanessa Ryan

Is it Christmas yet?  Christmas is almost here!  Can I open a present?  Will Santa really come?  Did you know baby Jesus was born on Christmas?  Is the bad weather going to stop Rudolph from pulling the sleigh?  Is it Christmas yet?  These questions and MORE non-stop from my girls, especially my six year old!  I’m trying not to let the questions bother me but instead I’m trying to get caught up in the excitement the girls are showing and it is rubbing off on me.  A little.

Loving all the Christmas song requests I keep getting!  Most requested Christmas songs this year…”Where Are You Christmas” by Faith Hill, “I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas”, “The Virgin’s Lullaby” by Josh Gracin and Kassidy Osborn, “Dominic the Italian Christmas Donkey” by Lou Monte and anything off of Sugarland’s Christmas album “Green and Gold”.

As you’ve probably heard by now, another bad winter storm is headed our way in central Wisconsin, please be safe and take your time if you are traveling.  Better to be late than to not arrive at your destination at all.  I hope Santa brings you all you wanted and more!  Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!  Club Bonus is Faith.

    Justin Moore

You won't find Justin Moore in the last-minute Christmas rush at the mall. He absolutely hates to shop, and oddly enough, he doesn't really like to receive Christmas gifts, either. Justin says, quote, "I really don't like being the center of attention, unless I'm on stage. That's about it."

    Love Actually

Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles is spending Christmas with her family in Georgia this year, and you can bet she'll be watching her favorite holiday movie, Love Actually. The British film stars Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman and Colin Firth and follows eight different couples during the holiday season.

Both Jennifer and her duo partner Kristian Bush are drawn to Love Actually for its romantic spirit, and several scenes that feature couples on the go. Kristian says, quote, "They come in and out of that movie in the airport where you get see people hugging. We travel a lot so we get to see that all the time."

  • STOP Your Complaining and START Being Grateful to Have Life

    Posted by Vanessa Ryan

Even during this wonderful time of the year I hear lots of complaining and whining and usually don’t say anything because I’m afraid I’d saying something very harsh. If you are complaining or whining, do me a favor and watch this video and read this story and then stop complaining and whining. Be grateful for the little things like living another day.

CLINTON, Ind. (WTHI) - Just days before Christmas, a young woman with muscular dystrophy is planning her own funeral, so she won't leave the burden behind for her family.  Sierra Cooper, 21, has battled muscular dystrophy her entire life, then she received another blow: Being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Now, Sierra faces a grim outlook and doctors said she has little time left.

"If it was up to me, she'd have another 30 to 40 years and she'd bury me," Sallie Cooper, Sierra's mother, said. "You're not supposed to bury your child."

Sierra may only have weeks left. This Christmas, her wish isn't under the tree this year. She's asking for donations to help pay for her funeral.

"I love my parents and I don't want them to be struggling when I'm gone," Sierra said.

Sierra isn't eligible for life insurance. Every day is a struggle for the 21-year-old, as she's hooked to a pack of oxygen and medicine. That's why her mother wants to give her the only thing she can: A proper funeral.

"She'll never get a wedding, so I want to do something special for her," Sallie said. "She's been planning her own funeral, so of course I want to give her the funeral she wants."

While she's planning for her final days, Sierra said she's found peace.  "I'm going to be with God and I'm going to be pain-free, no oxygen, no pain pump," Sierra said. "I'm going to be normal for once and be able to do the stuff you guys take for granted."

For now, she's living life one day at a time. Sierra prepares for a final Christmas. She's hoping for help as she leaves her family behind.

If you'd like to help the Cooper family, you can make donations to the Sierra Cooper Benefit Fund at any First Financial Bank location . Contact First Financial Bank at 812-238-6000.

Lucas Till is kissing and telling!

In an interview with MTV last week, Lucas revealed that he dated Taylor soon after appearing in her video for the single “You Belong With Me”.   “We dated for a little bit. But, there was no friction because we were too nice,” he said. “Most relationships work out cause you get along and then you don’t, and then you make up and its passionate, and with us I really just liked her as a friend. That’s the only reason that didn’t work out.”

But Lucas obviously liked kissing Taylor. He was also in the Hannah Montana movie with Miley Cyrus and rumored to be dating her as well. When asked who the better kisser was Lucas admitted,  “I chose Taylor Swift and I’m gonna stick with that answer.”
