  • I Will Never Admit to Defeat...

Holy smokes the weekend flew by and wowza was it a busy one! It was literally go go go, hurry up and try to get last minute Christmas shopping done while doing all the other activities we had planned! It was a busy weekend but a good one, no complaints from me. Yet another Monday I’m surviving and I’m feeling pretty darn good about it. Yes the day is not quite over and I plan on crashing when I get home (just like the cat is above), but I am not feeling defeated. At least I’m not going to admit it, I try to never admit to defeat.

On a side note…Brittany Murphy’s death yesterday really shocked me. I guess death in general is shocking to me but I may have been the only one who didn’t see it coming. I guess I usually don’t see death coming though. Carrie Underwood’s engagement surprised me as well because I didn’t know her relationship with Mike was as serious as it apparently was. Congrats to Carrie and Mike!

Garth Brooks has broken countless records and sold more than a million albums, but he's not immune to criticism from his fans. • Kevin Jonas Ties the Knot Over the Weekend

In a setting fit for a Disney prince and his princess, Kevin Jonas married Danielle Deleasa Saturday night at Oheka Castle, a turn-of-the-century French-style chateau, on a sprawling estate in Long Island."We're so happy that we're finally married and we were able to share the special moment with family, friends and loved ones," the couple tells PEOPLE

Though a blizzard threatened the festivities, the wedding attended by 400 family members and friends, including Demi Lovato, went forward as scheduled.  "The snow only made it look more like a winter wonderland," said Michael Russo, a celebrity event planner of Roses-n-Lollipops, who for Saturday's event created a fairytale forest under heated white tents, complete with 14-foot trees draped in hydrangeas and crystals made to look like icicles.

"Danielle looked like a princess," he said. When she walked down the aisle in her strapless tulle and Chantilly lace Vera Wang gown, "Kevin couldn't stop smiling," said Russo.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Thomas Deleasa. Danielle, a former hairdresser, wore a silk-and-crystal flower in her hair designed by Denise Leli, because she was wearing one when she met Kevin in the Bahamas 2007.

With his brothers, Joe and Nick serving as his best men, Kevin, 22, and Danielle, 23, recited traditional vows and exchanged Jacob & Co. wedding bands they designed for one another. "Kevin has said many times he feels like he met his princess," says Russo. "To see them together you can feel the warmth and the love all around them. They are just perfect for each other."

After the ceremony, guests were to be treated to a smorgasbord of Caribbean, Asian and Italian – among other dishes.

  • Many Not Surprised By Brittany Murphy's Death

    Brittany Murphy

UsMagazine.com...As shocking as it was, Sunday's death of Brittany Murphy at age 32 didn't come out of nowhere -- not to those close to the actress, whose behavior of late was alarmingly erratic, according to new reports.

Just two weeks ago, Murphy was mysteriously fired from the horror film The Caller and reportedly replaced by Twilight's Rachelle LeFevre. (Murphy's rep has denied that she was fired.) Prior to that, Murphy barely kept her job shooting another horror film, Something Wicked, in Oregon. Production sources told TheWrap that Murphy was "barely there...she'd go in and out of consciousness in the middle of takes." This eventually forced the film's producers to rewrite scenes involving Murphy; most of the cast and crew "presumed she used prescription drugs," TheWrap reports.

"Brittany's been living life on the edge," a friend of Murphy's is quoted as saying in British newspaper the Daily Mail. "She definitely had a drug problem and we have begged her to seek help.'"

Back in 2005, Murphy publicly denied rumors of cocaine use, saying, "Just for the record I have never tried it in my entire life, I've never even seen it, and I don't leave the house too much, except to go to work."  She added at the time, "My worst vice is caffeine. The rumor is really pretty darn far-fetched."

Director Amy Heckerling knew a very different Brittany Murphy when she worked with her on 1995's Clueless, Murphy's breakout role. Back then, Heckerling worried that the actress, then a young teenager, was already feeling the pressures of Hollywood stardom.  "She seemed to go through a change on Clueless," Heckerling told the blog And the Winner Is... Sunday. "Maybe she felt like she was not the, like, skinny, pretty girl, you know? And then the next few movies she was, you know, thinner, blonde ... and going out with Ashton Kutcher suddenly got more into that whole glamorous scene. I think she felt the pressure to become a different sort of commodity to survive in show business, and I think it was awful."

  • Scientific Study Says Shania Twain Has The Pefect Face

    Shania Twain

Most everyone agrees that Shania Twain is a beautiful woman, but a few reseachers say they've actually proven it scientifically. According to the BBC, researchers at the University of Toronto worked out the dimensions of the most attractive female face, and Shania fits the profile perfectly with the correct measurements between her eyes, mouth and ears. She even beat out Angelina Jolie when it came to perfect facial dimensions.

For the study, researchers asked students to rate the woman's attractiveness in two pictures presented side by side. The only difference in the photographs was the vertical distance between the woman's eyes and mouth and the horizontal distance between her eyes. The findings were published in the journal Vision Research.

Sunday Rose, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban

Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and their daughter Sunday are spending time in Australia this month, where he just wrapped up the Aussie leg of his "Escape Together World Tour" over the weekend. Nicole tells London's Sunday Telegraph that the paparazzi have made it hard for them to go out much while Down Under. She claims, "It makes certain cities impossible to live in, like Sydney." However, she adds, "We certainly don't get that treatment in Tennessee. But it goes with the territory. We have to be careful, just to maintain some sort of semblance of a normal life for our child." In addition, Keith explains to Australia's The Age, "In Nashville, we just jump in a car and drive to wherever we want to go - restaurants, movies."

Urban says having Kidman with him on the road changes the dynamic for him. He shares, "I think I play better. When someone you love - and someone who loves you - is present in what you're doing, no matter what it is, I think everything elevates a little bit."
