  • Faith Hill and Sandra Bullock Become Close Friends Thanks to Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw says that while he was filming The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock, his wife Faith Hill and the movie star became close friends. He tells Mississippi's Sun Herald, "They got along great. They got to talk about antiques and houses, which is one of Faith's favorite subjects." Faith herself added, "We just talked about decorating, which is something I love doing, and she enjoys doing. We both travel so many places, its fun to discover little secrets in little towns across the country. So we had a lot in common that way."

Tim also shared that he was a bit disappointed that he never got to meet Bullock's husband, entrepreneur and motorcycle guru Jesse James, while on the set. He says, "I'm a big fan of Jesse's, he was in the middle of trying to break a land-speed record in a hydrogen car, which I would've like to have hung out with him doing that. But that was the only thing I was disappointed with, so I hope I can meet him soon. I think that we would have fun together."

  • New Couple Jessica Simpson and Billy Corgan Taking Things Slow

People...Jessica Simpson and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan have started dating – and are taking things slow, says a source close to the pop star.  "They are getting to know each other," says the source. "He's a nice guy."

On Friday, Simpson, 29, and Corgan, 42, were spotted together in New York City. She was in town earlier in the week for sister Ashlee Simpson Wentz's Broadway debut in the musical Chicago.  Corgan's spirituality may just be what appeals to Simpson. On Sept. 11, Simpson, who has often spoken about how important God is to her and whose father, Joe Simpson, is a former pastor, Tweeted: "My friend, Billy Corgan, has a pure and enlightening outlook on faith."

No matter where this new romance heads, a friend of Simpson's says she is happy that she is dating again – especially after Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke up with her the night before her 29th birthday this summer.  "She's a great girl," says her friend. "She's really sweet. She's had a tough year. She deserves the best."

  • Miley Cyrus Song Pulled From Grammy Nominations

    Miley Cyrus

US Weekly...Miley Cyrus has hit a low note: One of her songs is no longer up for a Grammy. "The Climb," her single from her Hannah Montana: The Movie soundtrack -- written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe -- received a Grammy nod for best song written for a soundtrack.

But in an unexpected twist, it was announced Thursday that the tune has been pulled because it was not specifically penned for the movie, thereby making it ineligible for the award. (Cyrus' camp withdrew the nomination the day after the Grammy nominations were announced last week, when the error was discovered.)

The nomination will now go to "All Is Love," by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The song -- which received the next highest number of votes -- was written for Where the Wild Things Are.

The Grammy site does reflect the change, but a spokesperson for O's label confirmed the news to MTV.  "In an unexpected twist, one of the announced Grammy candidates for Best Song written for a Soundtrack has been disqualified after the fact," Matt LaMotte, of O's label Interscope Geffen A&M, said in a statement. "The nomination then goes to the song with the next-highest initial vote count, which is Karen O and the Kids' 'All Is Love.'"

O will now compete against Bruce Springsteen (for his title song for The Wrestler), Beyoncé (and others for the song Once in a Lifetime from "Cadillac Records"), Slumdog Millionaire score writer A.R. Rahman for "Jai Ho," and Paramore's Josh Farro, Hayley Williams and Taylor York for the Twilight song "Decode."

  • Lady Antebellum Members Closer Than Ever

    Lady Antebellum

While Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott has often joked about being the lone female when the group hits the road with their band, Charles Kelley shares that the experience has opened the guys' eyes. He tells AOL's The Boot, "It's different... you have to be cognizant of the fact that she is the only girl, and she's not used to having all these guys around." One important lesson for them has been learned. Kelley reveals, "A couple of times, the guys would [argue], and guys don't think anything of it – and Hillary would be kind of sensitive to that kind of stuff. So it took a good year before we all kind of understood." On the other hand, Scott has been well versed in guy talk. Charles explains, "Obviously now, she doesn't get as embarrassed by things somebody says like she used to. She's kind of used to all the vulgar and crude talk that goes around in a band. But it's been great. Honestly... I think the three of us are closer now than we've ever been."

  • Lovin' Carrie Underwood's Jab At Tony Romo!

Carrie Underwood has stated that she didn't write "Cowboy Casanova" about any of her exes, including a certain Dallas Cowboys quarterback. When Esquire magazine asked Carrie if Tony Romo had anything to do with the tune, she said, quote, "No. I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit."
