Bono Undergoes Emergency Surgery Posted May 22, 2010 by Eddie Ybarra

U2 lead singer Bono underwent emergency back surgery in Germany on Friday, according to the band's website.

Bono (real name: Paul Hewson) sustained an injury while preparing for the next leg of U2's 360-Degree tour. The 50-year-old Grammy winner is expected to remain hospitalized for the new few days.

Because of the operation, U2 has postponed their June 3 concert in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's unknown whether more dates will be canceled.

"We hope to get things resolved as soon as possible," said Paul McGuinness, U2 band manager.

Breaking News About Cross Canadian Ragweed Posted May 19, 2010 by Eddie Ybarra

I opened up my email today and this is what Lon Helton host of CMT's Country Countdown U.S.A and of Country Aircheck had to say.

After averaging 200+ dates per year for more than a decade, Cross Canadian Ragweed are taking a break from touring. Founder/drummer Randy Ragsdale shared that he needed to be with family, citing his autistic son JC. "He's 10 and still struggling with his development," Ragsdale said. "I would understand and support the band's decision to get another drummer, but that's not what they wanted to do. I was blown away by their decision and support."

Details will be announced soon.

I love that the band is sticking together during the difficult times.  These guys are great and wish them the best of luck!  Check out some of their video below.
