You'd think getting flowers on Mother's Day would make a mom pretty happy right? Well, not if that mom is Brandi Glanville and the sender is LeAnn Rimes.
LeAnn is now married to Brandi's ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, who she famously committed adultery with when they were both married to other people. LeAnn is stepmom to Brandi's two young sons with Eddie, Mason and Jake, and Brandi has been very vocal about how LeAnn and Eddie avoid communicating with her and that she doesn't even have their cell phone numbers.
I don't blame Brandi for taking to Twitter to the gesture either.
"I thanked @leannrimes on twitter4 my flowers," Glanville, 40, wrote on Monday, May 13, explaining that any larger thank you wasn't really possible or appropriate. "Our relationship is that we still don't even say hi at baseball," the Bravo star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and bestselling author said of the often-frosty Little League games both women have attended for the boys. "I don't have her number -- that's it."
Rimes then addressed the situation when a follower pointed out Glanville's tweets. "This was actually the first acknowledgment of my gesture I was made aware of," she wrote. "I didn't see anything else sent to me."
She also made a cryptic reference to "how twisted" things can get. "It never ceases to amaze me," she tweeted. Later, responding to a follower's comment about "putting up" with "such nonsense," she added, "As you can see, I don't 'put up' w/ it."
I'm not even surprised anymore over what I consider LeAnn's childish behavior. Why send flowers, especially on Mother's Day to your husband's ex that you don't even acknowledge at his child's baseball game? She was looking for drama plain and simple. Why not call her, reach out with the so-called olive branch before sending flowers out of the blue to someone you've publicly fought with?!
Grow up LeAnn.
