Quick Recap of Cancelled Shows For the 2013-2014 Season

by Vanessa Ryan

There has been a lot of activity in the TV world in recent days, with the broadcast networks finalizing their 2013-2014 schedules. Which on-the-bubble shows have been cancelled, and which have survived?

ABC cancelled Happy Endings , which may move to the USA network; Body of Proof ; Red Widow ; Malibu Country ; How to Live With Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) ; and Family Tools .

Among the new shows ABC has picked up: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , and the Once Upon a Time spin-off Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

CBS has pulled the plug on CSI: NY after nine seasons, plus the comedy Rules of Engagement and the first-year dramas Vegas and Golden Boy . The network has ordered the buzzed-about Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar comedy Crazy Ones , in which they play a father and daughter who run a business, and the Anna Faris single-mother sitcom Mom .

Surprisingly, CBS is not moving ahead with the Beverly Hills Cop update that would have featured cameos from Eddie Murphy.

NBC has picked up 16 new series, six of which will debut in the fall.

To make room in its lineup for its new shows, NBC has cancelled the comedies Go On, The New Normal, Up All Night, Guys with Kids, 1600 Penn and Whitney, plus the musical dramedy Smash and the news magazine program Rock Center .

NBC has renewed Community , but it's unclear when the comedy will return. NBC stated that the fate of Donald Trump's reality series The Celebrity Apprentice has yet to be decided, though Trump tweeted Sunday that it will be back for another go-around. There's still no word on the future of the first-year drama Hannibal.

On the cable front, TNT has cancelled the police drama Southland after five seasons.

I'm pretty bummed about Smash, Southland and Malibu Country. :( Any you'll miss?
