Researchers surveyed 1,000 people and found 94% take a break from their normal eating habits as they relax with friends and family during the holidays.
They found the average person put on four pounds between Christmas and New Year's and a majority say it's because they eat twice their recommended calorie intake during that time.
And most say it takes them at least three months to lose the weight.
