THE HIGHEST-PAID REALITY TV STAR -- AT $6 MILLION-- IS...???
Kim Kardashian tops a (Daily Beast) list of the highest-paid reality TV stars, earning $6 million in 2010.
The E! reality star wrapped up her fifth season of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" this year. She made her cash by promoting everything from Skechers to Kotex, and also shilling for a skincare line and Quick Trim with her sisters. She can earn as much as $75,000 an appearance.
Former "Hills" star Lauren Conrad came in at No. 2 with $5 million, thanks to her fashion career (she has a hot-selling line at Kohl's), and trilogy of young adult books. Her most recent one, "Sugar and Spice", has sold more than 1 million copies in hardback.
Bethenny Frankel, from "The Real Housewives of New York" and her own Bravo spin-off, earned $4 million last year. She made the most cash, though, from her "skinny" series, which includes nutrition books and a margarita mix.
Round out the top 5 are Audrina Partridge and Kate Gosselin, who each earned $3.5 million.
(Audrina can thank a Carl's Jr. endorsement, her deal with producer Mark Burnett and a hosting gig on internet network Yobi.tv. Gosselin earned $250,000 per episode of her TLC show, received speaking and book deals as well as "Dancing With the Stars" fees.)
