A guy in Austin, Texas has proof that a dog is a man's best friend.

He went for his regular bike ride and his dog followed him, like usual.

During the ride, the guy hit a bump and went over the handle bars. He landed badly and couldn't move his body. He was paralyzed. His dog sat there with him and waited for someone to come along.

When the guy's neighbors came by, the dog started barking to get their attention. They walked over to see what was going on and found the guy laying there and got him some help.

He's now paralyzed from the chest down, but he's thankful for his neighbors --and most of all-- his dog.
