A man has been walking the streets of South Carolina with a sign that saud, “Need Kidney 4 Wife.”

The couple have been married for 56 years and have three children together.

His wife was born with only one kidney and has had kidney problems since the birth of their first child, but no one in the family is a match.

At 77 years old he still works full time, but on his days off has been walking distances of up to 7 1/2 miles in his search for a kidney.

He also says he is willing to pay for gas for anyone who is interested in driving to the clinic to be tested.

He says, “I’m going to save my wife and that’s what I want… I love her more now I believe than when I married her because we’re not two, we’re one”.
