Cancel American Idol! Cancel America's Got Talent! Cancel Survivor*! This guy's gonna win all three in the calendar year. Book it. The reality show triple crown is his to lose.

My buddy Steve posted this on my facebook page the other day and I was going to blog it yesterday but our internet machine wasn't working here very well so I waited for today. Now I know this thing has already broken the internet and gone viral since then, but even if you've seen it once it's worth watching again. Hell I missed three breaks this morning because I was watching this thing on repeat all morning. Probably have a ratings spike because of it! Another win for crazy Carrie Underwood guy.

In any case this is one of the greatest karaoke efforts I have seen in a LONG time. Anyone who is of drinking age has seen their fair share of bad karaoke and baderer karaoke. My buddy Paul considers himself a bit of a karaoke savant, and despite endless ridicule from our crew I've got to give him credit, I watched him sing R.E.M.'s 'End of the World' WORD FOR WORD one night while we were out at a bar downtown. Didn't miss a single lyric. I half expected him to ride off on a unicorn after he finished. You should have seen the room afterwards. Total silence when he dropped the mic. Talk about a walk-off home run. Like me walking into a club after George Clooney. He had the chick who was up next to sing Landslide in tears. Should have just packed up the equipment and called it a night if you ask me. But I think even this trumps Paul's effort.  Get this guy a youtube channel where all he does is karaoke STAT!

*I know this video has nothing to do with a Survivor type show but look at the determination/rage in this guy's eyes and tell me anyone would vote him off the island. It would be like walking up to Chuck Norris and slapping him in the mouth. Just too dangerous.

PS: Percentage chance the guy who posted this video was a journalism major? Probably laughed diabolically when he came up with Carrie-Oke.
