Vikings sign Javon Walker. THAT Javon Walker.

So that sound you heard yesterday at about 3pm central time was the agony of fantasy owners who drafted Sidney Rice in the first three rounds only to see the news that he will miss the first 8 weeks of the season with a hip injury. The next sound you heard was the crying of said fantasy owners having to click 'add' on Javon Walker's name while searching the waiver wire. Legit question: What is more shocking, the fact that Javon Walker is back in the NFL or that fact that Javon Walker is alive? And to show you how far off Walker has fallen from grace is that the above picture is found while searching Walker's name on google image search. Friggin Bill Schroeder folks. Dude barely shows up on his OWN google search. 9 times out of 10 you get this guy:

So to say Javon Walker hasn't been relevant in a while would be an understatement. Yet for some reason I hear Packer fans grumbling that this is a 'huge' signing for the Vikes. Really? Is this planet earth anymore? The RAIDERS cut Walker. Like Al Davis looked at Javon and said "welp, no good can come from this guy." So while I understand there could be a chemistry with Favre factor, and Brett has made a career out of making guys like Bill Schroeder look good, I just don't see how this improves their team. The Vikings first 8 games are brutal and now they are missing a key offensive weapon. Advantage: Packers.

PS: 60% chance Walker goes for 1,000 yards this year.
