Capuano! Capuano! Capuano!

Now imagine that headline read out loud by one Jim Ross as Capuano struts back into the Brewers rotation on Thursday. Remember when I blogged about Gus Johnson and John Madden being the most ridiculous/mind blowingly awesome broadcasting tandom every? What if Jim Ross was added to that mix? I don't think a microphone has even been invented that could handle all three on the air at once. It's like landing on Mars. We just don't have the technology.

So finally help is on the way! After two months of squandering near last place in the central Doug Melvin has finally come to his senses and called up both Chris Capuano and Kameron Loe from AAA Nashville. Cappy has to be one of the best stories in baseball if he can have success in the Brewers rotation, coming back from his second Tommy John surgery and two full years rehabbing. He dominated in single A and triple A, so we'll see how he fares against major league hitters on Thursday. And late last night the Brewers also announced they are calling up Kameron Loe from AAA Nashville. Kameron is a MLB journeyman, but had a 4-3 record with an ERA slightly above 3 in the minors. I had to laugh at the blurp written in the Journal Sentinel about Loe:

'Loe has pitched in the big leagues with Texas without having much success. In 107 games, including 47 starts, he went 19-23 with a 4.77 ERA.'

'Without having much success'? Ummmmm I don't know if you've looked at the rotation outside of Gallardo and (sometimes) Wolf, but I'll take a pitcher with a record slightly under .500 and an ERA in the mid 4's every day of the week compared to throwing Suppan/Parra/Bush out there anymore. In fact if I'm Kameron Loe I'm ecstatic about the present situation. Brewers fans have been treated to a buffet of home runs and ERA's that look like Brandon Jenning's scoring average this year. All of a sudden Loe struts in with his average everything and bingo bango he looks like Christy Mathewson. It's gotten to the point where when I read the Brewers blog at JSONLINE and could see any pitcher being called up and be excited;

'Chris Capuano called up from AAA Nashville'

'Kameron Loe called up from AAA Nashvillle'

'________ called up from AAA Nashville.'

Six of one, half dozen of the other at this point.

So now that we've arrived at June 1 a healthy nine games under it's safe to say I'll take change for the sake of change. And while Loe and Cappy might not be doling out stunners to Suppan and all the other ragtags in the bullpen, maybe they can give us some quality starts? Or maybe the Crew should just cut out the middle man and sign Stone Cold? Bonus word: start.

PS: The first paragraph of this blog is what we like to call 'girl repellent.'  A combination of wrestling and baseball with some football references sprinkled in.

PPS: With Loe being called up the Brewers have yet to make a move to clear a roster spot for him. I almost don't want to type it out loud but wouldn't the logical choice be for Suppan to be cut by the end of business today? I don't know, I blogged about this before the season and got all amped up only to be let down while watching Soup give up home runs like it was his profession. Well I won't get tricked again...

.......

I'll get tricked again.
