F-A-I-L Fail Fail Fail!

Safe to say Sean Weatherford is NOT looking forward to Tuesday morning's special teams meeting huh? Like I'm not sure I'd go fake punt on 4th and 19 from my own 20 while playing Madden, let alone in real life. And just as a pro-tip to Sean: After missing the first down on a 4th and 19 fake punt, probably best not to mention that you had no clue it was 4th and 19 and instead thought it was 4th and 9. Forget football 101, that's just lying/life 101.

In any case I think yesterday's 9-0 victory can be best summed up by this picture:

Bingo bango, there's your game story. I mean is Dom Capers serious with that effort? Forget about the fact that you shutout the 4th best scoring offense in the league on their home field with THEM coming off of a bye, but you did it with guys like Howard Green playing critical downs. This would be like Dom Capers winning a bid on ebay with a 56K modem. Just impossible stuff. Other brief notes from a victory that no one saw coming and anyone who claims they did is a liar.

- You know it was a pretty boring game overall when Tim Masthay is about to get some love. But for as awful as that guy was early in the season, he almost made a complete mends during yesterday's game. Dude kept the Packers from losing the field position battle, and considering the score was 3-0 into the 4th quarter that was huge. Like it's not a stretch to say that Masthay was our MVP yesbwhahahhaha, alright let's not go crazy, but was was more than solid.

- Tramon Williams is our best defensive player not named Clay Matthews. I'm not sure I'm on board with  a lot of Packer's fans who say that Woodson is dunzo at corner and should be moved to safety, but I think Williams is clearly our best cover corner so far this season. Another pick and a fumble recovery (forced by ZOOMMMBOOOOO) yesterday proves it. I just John Maddened the hell out of that analysis. "Tramon Williams gets interceptions so he's good."

- I can't believe I'm about to type these words: Charlie Peprah may make Atari Bigby's return a moot point. Honestly this guy looked LOST during the Redskins game, but he has gotten it together to not only play solidly but to start making big plays. Like game changing plays. Charlie Peprah made game changing plays yesterday. And not 'giving up a 75 yard touchdown' game changing. No matter how many different ways I type it, it still looks off. And it wasn't just this week, last week he made big plays too, I just didn't mention anything because I was afraid I might jinx it. Like in Jurassic Park where you don't move if you're staring down a T-Rex? That's how I felt with Peprah. Don't type anything or you'll freak him out.

All in all this win is as big as it gets this season. I would argue I'm one of the most optimistic Packer fans there is. I thought Ray Rhodes was a decent hire. But even before this game I didn't think we had much of a chance. And if you would have told me in August that we'd be 5-3 after the Jets game having lost Barnett, Burnett, Finley, Grant, Poppinga, Jones, Martin and Harrell for the year I'd have told you you were insane and then gone on a 20 minute long tangent about why Justin Harrell is still on the roster. Not to mention this team is like 5 plays away from 8-0. Sure they're also 5 plays away from 2-6, but on the other hand they are 5 plays from 8-0.
