Bucky>Brutus=Badger Win

Posted by Jon Henseler on

So alot/ a lot (never sure how to type that one out so I thought I'd cover all my bases, blogging 101) of people have been asking me about the Badger/Ohio State game coming up tomorrow night. 'Hey Jon, do you think the Badger's have a shot?' 'Hey Jon, can they pull it out and make a Rose Bowl run? 'Hey Jon, it smells like you haven't showered in days, might want to get on that, we're trying to run a society here!' Alright so that last one was more of a exclamative as opposed to an interrogative* but you get the point. Listen this game is going to be a tough one. Badgers are at home so the crowd should be into it and be a major factor. Also, the Badgers are at home and it's a 6pm start time so the crowd might passed out and be a total non-factor. See what I mean? It's a total toss up. Bottom line is we're going to find out exactly what kind of team we have in Madison after Saturday. So far they've rolled over bad opponents (see Peay, Austin), been challenged by teams they should have owned (exhibit A being Arizona State), and they have looked not that bad in a loss to Michigan State and not that great in a win against Minnesota. What this team needs desperately on Saturday is to get an early lead and have EVERYTHING go their way. Like I could see them winning 34-31 or losing 49-7. It's all going to come down to how that 1st quarter goes.

.........

Wow, I mean I've been known to dance around an issue but I think I basically said nothing in the above paragraph that couldn't be pared down to 'they might win or lose.' Memo to future college students: this is how you squeak a 1,000 word paper out of a 5 word thesis. In any case my actual prediction for this game is a Badger win; 21-17. The basis for this prediction? Look no further than the following two videos:

Down goes Brutus! Down goes Brutus! Seriously folks, Brutus gets roughed up by a mascot from friekin Ohio University, or Bucky straight SLAYING chicks while reinventing the dougie. You do the math.

*Somewhere my 4th grade English teacher felt proud and didn't know why as I typed that. Just dropping some serious linguistics knowledge in the blog on a Friday. No big deal.

PS: God I miss college sometimes. 200% chance those kids emailed their professors saying they couldn't swing class because they were working on a 'project' all week long. Then they do 20 minutes of filming/dancing followed by 7 hours on State Street for 'research.' Fake life indeed.
