Yankees fans the epitome of diehard

Man Yankee's fans aren't spoiled by those 27 championships at all are they? Leaving an ALCS game in the 8th inning and by the 9th inning New Yankee Stadium looks like a scene from the Day After Tomorrow. For the life of me I don't think I'll ever understand sports fans who leave games in the 7th inning or 3rd quarter. Like I paid for a ticket, parking, and am probably going to have to eat Hot Pockets three meals a day for a week because I spent $100 on food and beer. You better believe I'm staying until the bitter end. That plus I live in fear of leaving a game like this and then my team stages a comeback for the ages and when my friends ask me how awesome it was to be there I have to respond 'I dunno, I tried to beat traffic and listened to it on the radio.' Just shameful. Like how do you think Bills fans who left that playoff game against the Oilers when Buffalo was down 31-3 feel? Hope you enjoyed your traffic jam free drive home while the true fans watched the greatest comeback in playoff history! Not to mention this is a frieking ALCS game! I feel that way about games in August when my team is 15 games back, let alone one step from the World Series. And I'm pretty sure it cost somewhere around 1.7 million dollars to go to a Yankee game these days so you'd think you'd at least get all of your money's worth. Friggin Yankees fans. Greats franchise in sports my ass.

PS: Watching the Yankee lose in the playoffs is like getting the SI Swimsuit edition every year; it brings me joy and never gets old.
