Yawn. Another day, another video of Katy Perry looking hot on Sesame Street. Wait....what?

Apparently Sesame Street has been bringing in pop artists lately to do covers of their songs with Sesame Street characters. Will.i.am has one, John Legend has one, and the latest incarnation features Katy Perry. Katy bringing the heat in this video! Father's everywhere happy to finally have a reason to tune in outside of keeping their counting and ABC's straight. Seriously I've never seen Elmo so confused in his life. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo are going to be answering all kinds of questions after this encounter. If this is what Sesame Street is bringing to the table these days I may have to start (read: continue) watching. Back in my day the best we got was Grover trying to break into the music industry with his ill fated "Monster in the Mirror" video:

Advantage: Katy Perry. Not to mention after this video Grover started to develop quite an attitude. Demanded a restraining order from the Count, got caught stealing shipments of Oreos with Cookie Monster on the docks, then turned up passed out in a back alley with Snuffaluffagus. The music industry is a slippery slope folks. It's a lesson for the kids.
