Live footage of Adrian Peterson at Lambeau yesterday right there. Like I know this blog should mainly be about the Packers and the win and getting back into first and all that but AP stole the show yesterday. 21 carries fo 210 yards? And it's not like our defenders weren't there. Guy ran through them, around them, past them, hell I half expected him to jump on the head of AJ Hawk like he was goomba en route to the end zone. On top of that our defense had to know it was going to him EVERY time and he still went off! Like how bad is Christian Ponder? I don't remember him being so over matched last year but he is lost. And the shame of it is he's got two of the most dynamic weapons in the NFL at his disposal in AP and Harvin and their offense is a bigger disaster than me trying to order food after bar close. It would be like have a classic Corvette but giving it to someone who can't drive stick. I almost feel like AP is going to pull a Barry Sanders in two years and just fade into Bolivia (+1 if you caught the Tyson reference).
Other than that I'd say yesterday went pretty well overall in terms of a rebound game. Jennings got back in the mix, this Barclay kid may save our offensive line Bruce Wilkerson circa '96 style, and *gasp* we may have a rushing attack. And Mason Crosby kind of, sort of got it back together!(?) 3 for 4 seems like a step in the right direction considering he's been below the 50% line for about 5 weeks. Just get that accuracy above Sex Panther level for the rest of the year and I think we'll be good.
Also not a bad night on Saturday for Bucky huh? How many push-ups was that? I don't know if you heard but I did over a thousand. Like who saw that coming? Even when I wrote my Badger blog on Friday I had no clue they would come out and just house Nebraska by dropping a 70 spot. Melvin Gordon is kind of good huh? All year I've kind of felt like that guy might be their best back and it turns out Bielema and Canada were just waiting to unleash the Krakken at just the right time. 9 carries, 216. No biggie. But overall it was just good to see them get back to ground and pound. Enough 5 wide receiver sets and putting Ball in the slot. This is Wisconsin. We don't need a 50 Shades of Grey play-book. Run, run and run some more. And I noticed there was a distinct lack of 'Fire Bielema!' posts on Twitter and Facebook over the weekend. 3 straight Rose Bowls and I don't care how he got there. As far as I'm concerned he should walk into his office like this today:
PS: In all seriousness if you can't be happy about your team in the Rose Bowl then you've got a big dump in your pants.
