Meet Gary Andersen, new Badger head coach.

(If Barry Alveraz didn't welcome Gary Andersen into his office like this it's a shame)*

Alright Badger fans what do we think? The Wisconsin State Journal reported late last night that the man who gave Badger fans heart attacks in September is coming back to Madison as a head coach once the Rose Bowl wraps up. Honestly my first reaction was 'who?!' and like most Badger fans this morning I had to hit up his Wikipedia page to get a feel for him but after doing some reading I think I've flipped from 'aghast' to 'excited.' Kind of like when my girl Lindsey had me the Harry Potter series to read. At first I was all like 'yeah sure if I want to me a nerd!' and then I actually read the series and before you know it I started referring to myself as a muggle and trying to figure out if flu powder will ever actually be a real thing. Point being it wasn't exciting at first but after a little research it turned out to be the best thing I've read since Goosebumps. Same deal with Andersen. Looks like he turned Utah State from doormat to 11-2 team in the span of 4 years, preaches defense and has a high motor. Yes please! So while it's not a Jim Tressel or Paul Chryst I think it ends up being a wise pick.

Only sad part about the whole thing was that I never even got a call back from Barry after I submitted my application. I even sent in a jump drive of my Badger franchise on NCAA Football '12 to prove I knew what I was doing. I mean if you don't want to haul in 5 star recruits with false promises and win national championships every year from 2017-2022 then fine by me Barry. Just know you had your chance.

*I need to take my upcoming break and catch up on movies. If you listen to the morning show or read this blog you'd think I haven't sen a movie since Wedding Crashers or watched a TV show since Seinfeld.

PS: Now that the Badgers have their Gary Andersen I think it's time the Packers make a move for this guy to replace Mason:

Come on Ted! Bring back the uni-mask!
