Prince crowned Derby Champion. Yes this is a repeat from 2009.

Well this is normally where I would post a video of Prince mashing last night but as we've gone over many times before MLB protects their videos like the frieking Watergate tapes so we'll just post several pictures and do it flip-book style. Seriously I just don't get the video lockdown at mlb.com. To the point where the German-ness in me almost respects them for never allowing people to share video of game highlights. Like there used to be a school of thought that you DIDN'T want people sharing your videos. But then the term 'viral' came about and people like Keanan Cahill became internet celebrities and before you knew it the more views the better. But Bud Selig just sits in his ivory tower like Dean Wormer giving a thumbs down everytime someone degenerate blogger like me tries to figure out a way to embed a video. Truth be told though there is probably a way to do it but I'm just lazy. If I can't right click and find an embed code I generally just give up. I'm not a Beautiful Mind over here alright?

Anyhow in case you missed it last night Prince won the derby again, this time as a Tiger. Only the second player ever to win it multiple times (Ken Griffey Jr) and the only player to win it once in each league. Honestly I wasn't sure if I was rooting for him or against him. Kind of reminded me of when you break up with a girlfriend or boyfriend, don't see them for 6 months and all of a sudden pictures of them out with their new significant other pop up on your news feed. Kind of a mixture of 'good for them' mixed with 'I hope they regret the day they left me behind'? I dunno. All I know is that he is rocking the absolute hell out of those frosted tip locks. Looks like an extra from the movie Point Break. Actually scratch that he looks like he's ready for some Cool Runnings! Feel the rhythm! Feel the rhyme! Get on up, it's bobsled time!

PS: I texted a buddy of mine last night when Prince was going bonkers to see what he thought and the response I got was 'oh, not really watching it.' Ummmmm what? It's the frieking home run derby! Baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet! I'm not saying you should be on a terror threat list if you don't watch the derby but at the same time you should.

Double PS: Best part of this year being in KC is we get to hear a whole lot of George Brett. I could listen to George Brett tell me stories like Miss Lippy all day long and never get bored. That plus watching Kruk HOUSE an entire plate of ribs was Kruk 101. I don't think I've ever seen a man so happy as Kruk was when they brought out that bbq.
