Did anyone try and watch Tigers/Yankees game 4 last night? Like was that real life? They canceled a potential World Series clinching game for threat of rain? If I'm a Tiger fan that was at the game I am beside myself with rage. I mean think about that. Your team is up 3-0 on the Evil Empire. You're about to wrap up a trip to the Fall Classic and see Verlander, Cabrera and Fielder do champagne slip and slides all over Comerica Park. And instead of that you sit on your hands at the stadium waiting for rain that never came? Really? There wasn't even tarp on the field! They canceled it because of a 'threat' of rain. To quote Allen Iverson; we're talking about a threat? Not a storm. Not a storm. Not a storm. We're talking about a threat? Bizarro world doesn't even begin to describe that scene.
Now since I'm not a Tiger fan and I wasn't at the game it actually worked out pretty well. Seinfeld repeats during a 'rain' delay for the win! Actually that should just be a rule. Any game goes to rain delay; boom Seinfeld repeats. You're welcome TV execs.
PS: How about the Cardinals winning again yesterday. Feels like they've got some kind of October Game Genie cheat code that gives them unlimited lives or something. Oh we're down by 6 runs with 6 innings left? No biggie! What's that? We have one strike left in our season? No worries! Oh Carlos Beltran got hurt? Meh, Matt Carpentar will go in and hit a game deciding home run. It's almost becoming a Wes Mantooth respect situation. Almost.
