And that blog title may as well have read 'Scott Skiles wins January 8th.' Like how happy is he right now? Goes from banging his head against the wall trying to coach a shoot first point guard with a career 38% shooting percentage and trying to squeak into the playoffs only to get swept in the first round, to playing golf in Miami Beach in early January. Advantage: Skiles. And the weird thing is that this hasn't even been the worst team he's had. I mean literally a week ago the Bucks had just stomped Miami at home by 19 and were 16-12. Then a 4 game losing streak and Skiles is fired/quits. Pretty much a microcosm of this franchise for the past decade. So now Jim Boylan takes over? Why? He's Skiles' right hand man! Nothing will change. If anything Sidney Moncrief or Joe Wolf should be given a shot. At this point the Bucks should pull an 'Eddie' and have a fan coach the team Whoopi Goldberg style. Or just have Whoopi Goldberg coach! Hell have Greg Jennings' sister coach the team for all I care. I just wish this team would either get it together or leave altogether because I am a die hard who ends up watching every game every year. Like I've been a season ticket subscriber for this team folks. That may be crazier than buying a $250 piece of parchment paper from the Packers. Anyhow I guess they're still a playoff team if the season ended today, maybe this will be the spark they need? Go Pack go! Go Pack go!
PS: Only thing crazier than the Bucks stealing the front page of the sports section on a day after the national title game and during Packer divisional round week is that I actually got a voicemail from a listener at 5:30am letting me know this happened. Like there is a Bucks fan out there, who was up at 5:30am and wanted to make sure I knew Skiles was fired before I talked sports. I feel like I need to hang out with this guy STAT. What's the old saying? Misery loves company? Bingo. Bucks fandom in a nutshell.
Double PS: 20% chance that voicemail was from Scott Skiles.
