The Packers couldn't have asked for a better bye weekend.   Green Bay's 6-3 record is now 4th best in the NFC as every division leader in the conference failed to win on Sunday.  In the North, the Houston Texans beat the Bears in rainy Soldier Field Sunday night 13-6, dropping Chicago to 7-2, one game in front of Green Bay.  The Vikings are just a half game behind the Packers at 6-4 after defeating the Pack's next opponent, the Detroit Lions 34-24 at the Metrodome.  The Lions won't be happy at 4-5 when they host Green Bay at Ford Field this weekend.  In the NFC East, the Giants lost again, to the Bengals in Cincinnati 31-13, falling to 6-4.  In the South, the Atlanta Falcons are unbeaten no more, handed their first loss in 9 games by the New Orleans Saints 31-27.   Out west, the San Francisco 49ers couldn't win, but they didn't lose either, winding up in a 24-24 tie with the St. Louis Rams, the first tie game in the NFL since 2008.  The 49ers are now 6-2-1 .  The Packers return from their bye with a rare Monday practice today and we'll get word on the injuries that were most concerning during the week off, Bryan Bulaga's hip, Clay Matthews and his hamstring and Jordy Nelson's ankle.
