It's not a shock, Pro Bowl wide receiver Greg Jennings today was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Colts in Indianapolis.  Jennings has been battling a groin injury for about a month, and he's been losing that battle.  He was able to return against Seattle two weeks ago but it tightened up against the Saints and he couldn't finish the game.  After talking with Mike McCarthy this week, both decided they've been going around in circles over this and it's best to shut it down for at least a week.  Jennings will remain in Green Bay and continue a rehabilitative program.   Sean Richardson didn't work again, a hamstring pull has kept him inactive for the first month of the season.  the only other names on the Thursday injury report were Davon House with a shoulder injury, he was a full participant, Ryan Pickett with a shoulder and knee injury was limited and M.D. Jennings with a sore neck was a full participant.  T.J. Lang was not at practice Thursday, excused for a personal matter but he's expected back on Friday.

Wayne Elliot was a guest on this week's edition of Inside the NFL on Showtime.  In case you've forgotten, Elliot was the referee in the Packers game in Seattle.  He revealed on the show that McCarthy called him last week.   McCarthy was only able to leave a voice mail message.  Elliot said his cell number somehow got out and he was obviously getting flooded with calls from irate Packers fans over the blown call at the end of that game.  But he was stunned to listen to McCarthy's message.  Elliot said the coach had heard he was having a difficult time over the game and he simply wanted to let him know the Packers were concerned.   When asked about the call Thursday, McCarthy said he intended it to be a personal message and even though it's now public, he wanted to keep the details private to avoid even more questions about the Seahawks game, now ancient and regrettable history, out of his locker room.   Still, another classy move by the coach in his handling of one of the greatest injustices in recent NFL history.
