The Packers still haven't shaken the flu bug.  While it didn't run rampant through the locker room, T.J. Lang two weeks ago and Mason Crosby last week missed practice days starting the cold or feeding the fever.  Today, Tramon Williams was sent home after showing up to work with flu like symptoms.   Head Coach Mike McCarthy didn't have much information beyond saying Williams was given some medication and ordered to go back home.  The team had a final workout on Ray Nitschke Field, in the cold, for about 30 minutes of ball drills. The rest of the practice was held in the Hutson Center but the doors were left open.   The only other player not at practice was receiver Jarrett Boykin who suffered an ankle injury last week in Minnesota.  Both Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb were full participants.  McCarthy said they both looked good and Cobb in particular really pushed it the past couple of days.  Jeremichael Finley, Alex Green, Davon House and Charles Woodson were also listed on the Thursday injury report as full participants.  James Starks, coming off a knee injury suffered in the first Vikings game December 2, was limited.

Tracking Adrian:  The numbers are eye popping, Adrian Peterson gained 409 yards on 55 carries in the two Green Bay games.  That's almost 20 percent of his near record 2097 yards this season.   I took a look at every one of his carries and charted them.  30 of his 55 carries were for three yards or less, he had 17 between 4 and 12 yards and there were 8 of 18 or more, the real killers, including jaunts of 26, 28, 48 and the back breaker, the 82 yard touchdown at Lambeau Field.   Where was he making the most hay?   Clay Matthews said it best Wednesday when he explained how the defense has to squeeze Peterson to the inside.  Running between the tackles, up the middle or off each guard, Adrian gained 113 yards on 31 carries, a respectable 3.6 yard average banging in to Ryan Pickett, B.J. Raji and the inside linebackers A.J. Hawk and Brad Jones.  Off right tackle, the average swelled to 9.4 yards a rush, 85 yards on 9 carries.  Over left tackle, it got worse, 62 yards on 6 carries, a 10.3 average.   When he got around the end, look out.  10.8 yards a carry around left end, five rushes for 54 yards and around right end, he had 4 carries for 95 yards, that's a whopping 23.8 yard average.  Most of the missed tackles came on the edges over the two games so it will incumbent on the outside linebackers to maintain discipline, don't be so quick to close the backside because Adrian has the vision, cutting ability and speed to really hurt the Pack.
