The Packers wrapped up the practice week this afternoon. Head Coach Mike McCarthy said there was a lot of energy from the team, especially when they worked outside under some rare sunshine and balmy January temperatures. Weather for the Bay Area by the way looks like high's in the 50's with lows dropping into the 30's by Saturday night. Randall Cobb returned to work, still a tad under the weather but McCarthy feels he'll be ready. The same for Jordy Nelson. After missing two days of work, Nelson returned on a limited basis today and ran a few go routes at the end of a team period without difficulty. I spoke with Jordy in the locker room and he said he'll be fine. The only two players definately out are Jerel Worthy with his knee injury and Jarrett Boykin with a sprained ankle, both suffered against the Vikings in the regular season's final game. Jermichael Finley, Alex Green, James Starks, Clay Matthews and Dezmon Moses were all full participants. After morning meetings tomorrow, it's the same old road routine, the flight departs at 12:45 PM, the team will check in, have one more meeting, get cut loose for dinner with a curfew around 10:00 PM local time, midnight back here, with plenty of time to sleep in Saturday before the 49ers showdown. My next post will come from San Francisco upon my arrival tomorrow evening.
