The marriage of LeAnn Rimes and Dean Shermet is one step closer to officially being over. Dean filed for divorce from LeAnn last Thursday in Los Angeles and is seeking spousal support and attorney fees. According to People magazine, Dean cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce. They were married in February 2002. 

LeAnn's fans knew this was coming. She posted a message on her website on September 1st announcing their marriage was coming to an end. Their Nashville mansion is on the market with a 7.45 million dollar asking price, and LeAnn is reportedly living in Los Angeles and spending time with boyfriend Eddie Cibrian, who last August filed for divorce from his wife Brandi Glanville. Dean has relocated to New York City, according to his Twitter posts, and is attending culinary school to become a chef.
