For the movie Crazy Heart, Toby Keith and Montgomery Duo played important roles, although moviegoers won't be seeing them on screen. Filmmakers needed to shoot a scene with actors Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell in a concert setting, so director Scott Cooper booked a gig for them at Toby's show in Albuquerque, New Mexico, much to the surprise of fans attending the concert that night. Cooper tells Contact Music, "We had 10 minutes to shoot it. We asked Toby Keith and Montgomery Gentry…if I could piggyback in between their shows. We had five cameras and 12 thousand people there who were coming to see the Toby Keith show…We didn't tell the audience, so once they came out on stage people went nuts." Crazy Heart is in theaters now.
