Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook welcomed Elijah Dylan Westbrook on March 5th and in the lastest issue of Country People they are sharing his first public photos.  

Jimi tells People magazine, "You look into that sweet little face and it's just like, the world is good." The couple also tag teams on diaper changes, since little Elijah can't stand them. Says daddy Jimi, "I'm usually the one jumping around trying to distract him. There's a lot of teamwork."

Jimi describes parenthood, saying “It’s just a beautiful, beautiful experience, the whole thing, the pregnancy and him being here,” he says. “Your life changes – it’s all about him and that’s OK… We get up a couple of times in the middle of the night with him and you’re so tired, but then you look into that sweet little face and it’s just like, the world is good.”

The family of 3 is getting ready to join the rest of Little Big Town as they head back out on the touring circuit next month, and that may take some adjusting for the new parents.  “We’re just trying to get in the groove of being parents,” says Westbrook. “The real challenge when we’re on the road is when we’re both on stage. We’ll have to bring a nanny out to help us but I’m sure as soon as we’re off stage, we’ll be like, ‘Where’s the baby?’”

Karen and Jimi will be taking their little baby on the road with them when Little Big Town heads out on the Big Throwdown tour starting next month.
