There's a reason they call him King George. With his latest single, "I Gotta Get to You," entering the top ten this week, George Strait becomes the only artist in Billboard chart history to hit the top ten every year for 30 straight years. George made his top-10 debut on Billboard's Country Songs chart in 1981 with "Unwound," and he's been there every year since. Additionally, "I Gotta Get to You" is George's 82nd top-10 hit on Billboard's Country Songs chart, second only to Eddy Arnold's record 92.

When he got good the news, George said, "It just continues to be one heck of a ride that I'm enjoying every minute of. Time does fly when you're having fun. Thanks to all my fans for their support. Love live country music!" Strait's 44 number-one singles also make him the artist with the most chart-toppers in Billboard history.

As usual, George doesn't have a lot to say about his latest top-10 hit, calling it a "real kind of a cool little groove of a song." He adds, "Got a nice little catchy guitar party that kind of hooks you, but it's just a pretty good song. I like it." "I Gotta Get to You" is included on George's latest gold-selling album, Twang.
