Sunday night’s Academy of Country Music Awards won its time slot for CBS, even though its ratings were actually down more than 10 percent from last year, according to Entertainment Weekly. The magazine does point out that last year’s show competed against reruns, while this year’s faced off against new programming. NBC even offered up a country-themed episode of Celebrity Apprentice featuring Trace Adkins, Luke Bryan and Emily West as counter-programming. It finished third for the night.
