Shania Twain was so moved by the top six American Idol finalists performing her songs this week that she took to her blog to write about it. She writes, "I found they all created original versions of each of my songs and did a great job with the delivery of both lyrics and vocals." Shania even admits some of the performances moved her to tears, and she said during Tuesday night's show that Michael Lynch's take on "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" really got to her.

Even with all this American Idol activity, there's still no word on when Shania herself may be releasing new music. Her last studio album, Up!, came out in 2002.  I'd say it is about time she gave us new music!  What do you say?
