During his acceptance speech at the People's Choice Awards last month, Keith Urban said he didn't care if fans illegally downloaded his music, and that comment got him in hot water around Nashville. In an interview with The Tennessean, Keith has clarified his position.  He now stresses that he does care about illegal downloading.  Of his earlier comments, he says, "I was referring to the old days when you'd buy a record, do a cassette tape and give it to your girlfriend, and then maybe she likes it and becomes a fan." Keith hopes his fans keep turning other people on to his music, but he says, quote, "For the record, I absolutely care about my music not being taken for free."
