Poor Taylor Swift: the backlash appears to have begun.  First, critics slammed her for her performance at the Grammy Awards, and now Variety has trashed her acting in her big-screen debut, Valentine's Day, opening this weekend.  In its review of the film, the publication writes that Taylor's screen time with fellow co-star Taylor Lautner is "arguably the film's low point."  The Variety review goes on to say, "Swift, especially, seems entirely undirected, as she jumps around, makes faces and jabbers on inanely...if she's to have a film career, she needs to find a skilled director to...channel her obviously abundant energy."

Meanwhile, there are reports that a sequel to Valentine's Day is already in the works.  It would be called New Year's Eve and star some of the same actors.  When we asked Taylor's rep if she plans to appear in the sequel, we were told that it's something that has yet to be determined.

Ouch.  Take it all in stride Tay Tay!  ~Vanessa
