As Carrie Underwood prepares to marry Mike Fisher this year, she credits her mom and dad with teaching her what a stable, committed couple looks like. Their example has had a big influence on Carrie's life.  She says, quote, "I have so much respect for both my parents, and I love them so much. They've done nothing but support me." As Carrie became an adult and then a country superstar, her relationship with her mom and dad was a constant in her hectic life. She says, quote, "They treat me the same way that they did before everything happened, which is so important. It's harder to come by than you would think."

Now that Carrie is a woman of independent means, she loves treating her mom to some of the finer things in life. Carrie says, quote, "She gets to come to awards shows with me and I get to take her places that she's never been. I get to buy her shiny things...It just makes me happy." Carrie will be planning her wedding in between concert dates this year. She launches her Play On tour March 11th in Reading, Pennsylvania.
