When it comes to touring, Kenny Chesney is country music's undisputed king. According to Pollstar, Kenny's concerts were the second most-attended of any artist in the past decade after the Dave Matthews Band. Kenny was also the third-highest moneymaker on the road in the past 10 years, taking in a staggering 455 million bucks. As for 2009, Kenny was the only country artist in the top 10, coming in at number six on the list with 71.1 million dollars in ticket sales.
All of these figures are pretty surreal for Kenny, but it still comes down to the experience of performing for his fans. Kenny says, quote, "That energy...the way the fans throw it back at us, sing those songs like they are their lives...well, that is, hands down, the greatest feeling in the world!" Kenny's fans will get a chance to see his live show on the big screen with the release of his new concert film, Summer in 3-D, hitting theaters this April.
