Blake Shelton is "mad" at fellow country singer Jake Owen, according to AOL's The Boot. Blake shares, "I do want to talk about Jake because I'm mad at him right now. Somebody sent me a song that Jake wrote. And so I said, 'I gotta have this! I'm gonna record this song for my album.'" Unfortunately by the time Shelton decided he wanted it, the song was no longer available. Owen explains, "I was ready to give it to him, [but] the guys at the label loved the song and they wanted to record it, so I ended up having to call Blake back and say, 'Man, I'm sorry, I'm going to record it.'"
Blake says that he got the ultimate revenge on Jake when the song ended up not making it on Owen's album either. Shelton elaborates, "Three months ago, Jake Owen was calling me going, 'Hey man, if you still want that song for your album. ...' And I said, 'No sir, I don't need it for my album. I don't want it anymore.' ...So I think I got even with Jake, and that's not easy to do. That's what you get, Jake!" The song, which neither artist will identify, has yet to be released on anyone's album.
