American Idol's ninth season got underway last night with the first round of auditions. Those lucky contestants who make the top ten this year can expect a little gift from 2005 American Idol champ Carrie Underwood. She tells Self magazine, quote, "I'll send a dog tag necklace from Tiffany and put 'Congrats on the top 10! Love, C.U.' on it." Carrie also says she gives out her phone number to the contestants in case they need a bit of advice along the way. American Idol returns tonight at 7:00 CST on Fox with even more auditions.
