Today, fans of "Redneck Woman" Gretchen Wilson can pick up her Greatest Hits collection. The album features 11 tracks, including - of course - "Redneck Woman," and other fan favorites like "Here For The Party," "One Of The Boys" and "California Girls." Also among the tracks is Gretchen's never-before-released live version of Heart's '70s classic "Barracuda."
Wilson shares that as a "Redneck Woman," she's proud of the values, the honesty, and the lifestyle that it represents:
"It's a lifestyle. It’s the way you're raised, and it's what you believe in. Bein' a redneck is about... it's about home and family and pride in yourself, in your work, in your surroundings, in your family, in your country, and it's everything all together, you know? It’s just who you are. 'Redneck' is just a term that I've always been labeled with, but I've never had a problem with being labeled that. I guess that's why I had to come out of the box like that. I had to come out and just say, 'Well, I am a redneck woman,' and that's just what I'm gonna be, and it's either gonna work or it ain't."
Gretchen's fans can look forward to brand new music from her on March 30 as her fourth studio album entitled I Got Your Country Right Here is due in stores. She shares, "This is the album of my career. This album turns the page for me. I'm proud of every song on here, and I'm excited about the team we've put together to get this music out to fans.
Do you plan on picking up her new album? Are you a Gretchen Wilson fan? ~Vanessa
