Kellie Pickler has cut her newly-blonde hair in a short pixie style, but it wasn't just a simple fashion statement. She tells People magazine, quote, "My hair started falling out! It was so damaged, I looked like a scarecrow, so I chopped it off." Kellie thinks her new short 'do sets her apart from the other female acts in country music. The style also reminds her of one of her favorite stars -- Lorrie Morgan. Kellie says, quote, "I remember being in love with Lorrie Morgan's hairstyles growing up. I've always thought she was beautiful and confident."

Kellie's also been enjoying music from one of country's other famous blondes, Carrie Underwood. When asked what she thinks about Carrie's latest album, Play On, Kellie says, quote, "She sings every song amazing...she's got some great pipes on her."

Kellie recently returned from a USO trip to the Middle East.
