Keith Urban tells CMT that he would love to appear on American Idol as a mentor, but there is a catch. He says, "I think I'd be interested in doing that... but not on camera. That's a tricky thing, because as much as I think there's a lot of things we can do to help younger artists avoid some of the things we avoided, at the same time it's a delicate balance... where we don't want to seem like we know it all, you know? But I'd like to do it... off camera!" Urban knows how important it is for new acts to feel comfortable in their own skin. He shares, "I think a lot of artists just need to find their own way too. You've just got to be yourself. Because there's no rules to any of it."
