Dierks Bentley's new bluegrass-inspired album, Up on the Ridge, lands in stores Tuesday, and he's got quite a few special guests joining him on the project. For one thing, Jamey Johnson and Miranda Lambert sing with Dierks on "Bad Angel."  He says of the collaboration, "Miranda's voice has never sounded better to me. She just kills that on there. She was definitely inspired, and Jamey was great."

Jamey, Miranda and Dierks are all on different record labels, and those labels have to approve before an artist can record on another label's project. That wasn't a problem this time around, though. Dierks says, "I just called them directly and let the labels figure it out. They're two people I know I can call and they'll do it before they ask anybody." Up on the Ridge also features a guest appearance from Alison Krauss on the title cut.
