Danny Gokey's debut album, My Best Days, sold more than 65 thousand copies in its first week. That's the best opening week by a debut country male artist since Billy Ray Cyrus's debut Some Gave All was released in 1992, and good enough for a number-three debut on Billboard's Country Albums chart. The collection also premiered in the top five of Billboard's Top 200.
When putting his debut album together, Danny wanted to touch on all the aspects of his personality, including his spiritual side, his optimistic outlook and his desire to entertain his fans. Danny tells us, "I feel like that's what you need on an album. At least that's what I look for in an album is I look for a few different things, and I think I've put that into this record."
