Trisha Yearwood appears on the cover of Redbook magazine's April issue to talk about her new cookbook, Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood, which also lands in stores next month. In addition to sharing a few recipes, Trisha also explains why she and husband Garth Brooks are so committed to sharing family meals. "We're all going to sit down and the cells are going to be turned off and there not going to be any iPods playing into anyone's ears," Trisha says. "It's time for family." As for Trisha's favorite recipe from the book, she says her Crock-Pot macaroni and cheese is to die for. Garth also contributed a recipe to the new cookbook.
My subscription came in the mail yesterday and I really enjoyed the Trisha article though I felt sick to my stomach after reading her recipes. Garth's breakfast recipe which includes a POUND of bacon and must contain 2,000 calories per serving. Ugh. ~Vanessa
