Kellie Pickler is shutting down her fan club at the end of next month, but she says it's all good for her fans. In a statement posted at KelliePickler.com, Kellie explains they're revamping her website and giving access to music, photos, videos and message boards to everyone, instead of just those who pay to be a part of the fan club. Says Kellie, "I'm really excited about this new direction and that everyone can afford to be part of it." Kellie has also made arrangements so existing fan club members can get a pro-rated refund on their memberships.

I love this!  The only "Fan Club" I am a part of is Eric Church's fan club and I signed on years ago before you had to pay a membership fee.  I don't think fans should have to pay for fan clubs or extra content when they are already supporting an artist or group by purchasing merchandise and their music and other projects associated with them.  Go Pickler, great idea!
