When Love and Theft became part of the Taylor Swift tour back in 2008, they set themselves up to be role models for all the young fans they acquired. According to the trio's Stephen Barker Liles, holding the responsibility of setting an example for young audiences is just what the band wants to do:
"Part of the spotlight comes with the responsibility to set a good example - especially us as Christians. I think that's what the Lord has called us to do, is try to set the best example we can, you know, as young Christian men in this crazy world. You know, it's pressure that we want. You know, we have younger siblings and that's something we want to lead a good path for them to look up to."
