When Carrie Underwood's wedding day gets here she's not going to have a wedding cake. She tells CMT, "We're kind of doing cupcakes. I consider myself a very traditional person. More than anything, we're going to get married, that's the important part. And we want everyone to have a good time, so we're doing some things like that, that are a little bit different." Carrie says she's ordering cupcakes from IveyCake in Franklin, Tennessee, which is run by Ivey Childers – the wife of Underwood's bass player, Mark Childers. Carrie says that Ivey "makes the most amazing cupcakes in the universe."
While we are on the subject of Underwood...she just scored her 9th Billboard number one hit...
Carrie has hit the top of Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart again this week with her latest single, "Temporary Home." Carrie actually came up with the idea of the song one day while getting ready for her day. She says, "A flood just hit me. Immediately, I thought of three different people, different places, different really bad things happening to them." Even though it deals with tough subject matters such as child abandonment and death, Carrie doesn't think of "Temporary Home" as a sad song. "It's hopeful," explains Carrie, "and each person in each story, in each different place in their life, knows that things are going to be okay."
