Demi Lovato will guest star on Grey's Anatomy, she confirmed on Twitter Monday...

"I'm so thrilled to announce that this week I'm shooting Grey's Anatomy!!!!!!!! :D AHHH!!!!"

The Disney star will play a schizophrenia patient who gets treated by Karev (Justin Chambers) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw). Her episode airs in May. 

"Demi Lovato's on the Grey's set filming her guest spot. Everyone's super excited around here," Twittered series creator Shonda Rimes. 

Added Lovato, "Mr. Patrick Dempsey himself wants me to give a shoutout to you guys! hahahaha so awesome." 

I have school aged children so at first I was forced to watch her show on Disney and buy her albums for my girls, but I ended up appreciating her talents.  I like her music and her acting though the second season of her Disney show "Sonny With a Chance" is subpar at best I'm looking forward to her appearance on Grey's.  What are your thoughts?
