It looks like Chely Wright will come out as a lesbian this week. TMZ.com reports the singer will reveal she's a lesbian this week as her new autobiography Like Me hits stores. She is said to be granting her first interview to People magazine about her revelation. Chely scored a number-one hit in 1999 with "Single White Female" and was romantically linked to Brad Paisley at one time. Her new album, Lifted Off the Ground, is also hitting stores Tuesday.

I didn't know this was a secret, I thought she had come out years ago.  She's an amazing woman and extremely talented singer/songwriter and this news has never changed my high opinion of Chel in the least.  Is this really a shock?  Chel isn't the only gay Country artist, does that surprise  you?
