Eric Church, who just turned 33 on Monday, is known in country music for putting on one rowdy show, and he actually has kind of a wild reputation among his peers in Nashville. However, Eric says that side of him is in direct contrast to his high school reputation in his hometown of Granite Falls, North Carolina:
"I was a pretty average kid. I was a good kid. I didn't get into as much trouble... I got into more trouble in college 'cause that's when I started playing in bands. The kind of guy I was in high school was pretty different than the kind of guy I probably was in college, you know, and when I got to Nashville especially, you know, because then I was more the jock guy, I guess. I was student body president. So, I mean I was a much different guy than I am now [laughs]."
